Christmas Countdown - Day 12
For our last project, we're going back to Lion Brand. This time to make this cute poinsettia ornament.
This is an easy pattern that will work up quickly, allowing you to make lots for your tree or for gift tags.
I hope you've enjoyed this feature and the free patterns. I certainly enjoyed finding them for you! Don't forget to email me pictures of your projects or leave a picture in the comments. I hope you enjoy the holiday season!

Christmas Countdown - Day 11
On the 2nd to last day of the countdown, I thought it would be fun to include a garland. But not just any garland --- Jingle Bell Garland!
Adorable! The best part is, you can crochet this following the pattern from DIY Maven or you can string the jingle bells without crocheting the string. Of course, if you crochet, the bells will stay put without any knots or glue. Just string them on & single crochet around each one and you're done. Easy peasy!
I'm picturing this draped down my stairs where every person and dog will make a little jingle. Where will you hang yours?

As we near the end of my first-ever Christmas Countdown, I thought it would be fun to include a retro-type ornament.
This pretty bauble comes to us from the good folks at Lion Brand yarn. You have to register to get the pattern, but registration is free. If you do decide to register you can opt to sign up for their weekly newsletter which includes links to knit & crochet patterns.

Christmas Countdown - Day 9
I don't know about you, but my house needs mistletoe at Christmas. I also have dogs, so I'm always a little scared to have real mistletoe and poinsettias. This pattern for crochet mistletoe hits the spot!
I plan on making a bunch of this & tying it over the doorway. Perfect! Click on over to Baking and Making for the pattern.

Continuing with our countdown, today we're making a pretty star. Perfect to symbolize the true meaning of Christmas!
This Bethlehem Star comes to us from Petals to Picots. Make a bunch! They would be lovely on your tree and would make very special gift ties.

Christmas Countdown - Day 5
Welcome to Day 5 of the Christmas Crochet Countdown! I hope you're enjoying the
I've found for you. Be sure to leave a comment on the original blog (and mine too!, if you're so inclined) and spread the love.
You're going to love today's pattern.
It's a wonderful, easy, pattern for an old-fashioned Christmas bulb. I love it on the tree and think it would be great as part of a garland. Make a lot, in different colors, and string them together. Fantastic!
This imaginative pattern was created by Crochet Cafe Patterns and, like everything else this week, it's free! I know you'll want to click over & get a copy of the pattern.

Christmas Countdown - Day 4
Welcome to Day 4 of the Christmas Countdown! If you're making each item, you should have a nice little stack going.
Today, we're linking over to one of the nicest patterns I've seen that replicates holly.
Isn't that just lovely? It looks exactly like holly!
I plan on using this pattern to make a pin for my winter coat. As with most of the other patterns so far, this would also make a great ornament or gift topper. If you have the time to make bunches, I know this would make an absolutely gorgeous wreath. Just imagine tons of these leaves and their pretty little berries hanging on your wall. Lovely!
The pattern was created by Suzies Stuff and you can find it here.

Christmas Countdown - Day 3
Welcome to Day 3 of the Christmas Countdown. I hope you're having as good a time as me. Don't forget to send me pictures of your finished items. I would love to post a round-up of all the goodies after the countdown. On to the pattern.
Today's pattern comes from Planet M Files and it is a wonderful pattern for a quick, gorgeous, pinecone.
So lovely! These pinecones look great in flecked yarn (as shown) or solid yarn. Why not make a whole bunch and use them as package ties? If you have a woodland-themed tree, these would be absolutely perfect.
I just love this pattern & could spend weeks making pinecone after pinecone. Be sure to click the link & make some of your own.

Christmas Countdown - Day 2
Welcome back to day 2 of the Christmas Countdown!
Today we're linking to a pattern that uses Fun Fur to make adorable, fuzzy, ornaments.
How cute are these!?! I have a lot of old, mid-century, glass ornaments on my tree. This will look perfect with them. The pattern calls for Fun Fur, but I think I will use the Martha Stewart Glittler Eyelash yarn to make mine. Just the right amount of bling & in such fab colors like pink & light blue. Perfect with my retro ornaments!
The pattern was created by Donna's Crochet Designs and you can find it here. Don't forget to send pictures of your finished items. I can't wait to see your work.
